Description

The GE Multilin G60 Generator Protection System, built on the industry-leading UR platform, is a comprehensive protection solution designed for medium and large generators, including large steam and combustion turbines, combined cycle generators, multi-circuit hydro units, and pumped storage generators. It delivers full protection compliant with IEEE C37.102 standards, featuring advanced functions such as high-speed stator differential protection with CT saturation detection, stator ground fault protection, loss of excitation detection, backup distance protection, overexcitation protection, restricted ground fault protection, and split-phase protection to extend asset service life.

Equipped with robust measurement capabilities, it monitors current, voltage, power, energy, and frequency, and includes 1024 time-stamped event records with 0.5ms digital input scan, user-selectable sampling rate data logging for up to 16 channels, and user-programmable fault reports that measure synchronized phasors of voltage, current, and sequence components at 1-120 frames per second. Its embedded synchronized measurement function, compliant with IEEE C37.118, eliminates the need for a dedicated PMU and supports synchronized multiplexing per IEC 61850-90-5 to reduce bandwidth and infrastructure costs. For seamless integration, it offers Ethernet Global Data (EGD) and an integrated managed Ethernet switch, supporting protocols including IEC 61850, DNP3.0 Level 2, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, and IEC 60870-5-104, along with communication options like fiber Ethernet (with redundancy), RS485, RS422, G.703, and C37.94.
