Honeywell 8C-PAIHA1 Analog Input Module with HART
Description
The Honeywell 8C-PAIHA1 Analog Input Module with HART is a core component of the Honeywell Experion LX 8 series controller and I/O system, designed for industrial automation control systems. It features 16 single-ended input channels with mutual isolation to prevent signal interference, and supports multiple input signals including 4-20mA current, voltage, and frequency, making it compatible with a wide range of sensors and transmitters. Equipped with a 16-bit A/D converter, it delivers high-precision measurements with an error of ±0.075% of full scale at 23.5 degrees Celsius ±2 degrees Celsius, and ±0.15% of full scale between 0 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius, with a 50ms sampling period. With native HART protocol support, it enables intelligent device communication, parameter configuration, and remote monitoring and management. Additional features include built-in self-diagnostic functions to detect module and input signal abnormalities, software-configurable parameters such as input type, range, and filtering, support for redundancy to enhance reliability, and an optional conformal coating for protection in harsh environments. It is widely used in process control, manufacturing, oil and gas, chemical, power, metallurgy, and pharmaceutical industries to collect analog signals like temperature, pressure, flow, and liquid level for production process monitoring and control. The module operates on 24VDC power with a module current draw of 110mA, and has a working temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, with a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
