IC200MDD840 GE Fanuc | Combination Discrete I/O Module
Description
The IC200MDD840 is a combination discrete I/O module from the Versamax product line, featuring a total of 32 I/O points with 20 discrete inputs and 12 relay outputs. Its module power is supplied directly from the rack backplane, while output loads require an external power source. The module supports 24V DC input, with output ranges of 0 to 125V DC and 0 to 265V AC. When I/O is active, it draws a rated current of 2.0 to 5.5 milliamps; when inactive, the rated current is 0 to 0.5 milliamps, with a maximum backplane current of 375 mA.
The 20 discrete inputs include 16 channels of 24V DC signals, supporting dry/wet contacts, with photoelectric isolation and built-in hardware filtering (typical 2 to 5 ms). The 12 relay outputs are split into two groups of 6 channels each, with transistor outputs (configurable as NPN or source type) that deliver a maximum 0.5A per channel and a total output current limit of typically ≤4A, with short-circuit protection and overcurrent limiting. It uses a plug-in installation requiring a compatible I/O rack, operates in temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, has an IP20 protection rating, and features per-channel LED status indicators. Ideal for applications like conveyor control, access control interlocking, and pump start-stop control, it supports equipment start-stop management, safety interlocking, status feedback, and load driving.
