IC670ALG230 | GE Fanuc | Analog Current Source Input Module
Description
IC670ALG230 is an analog current source input module from GE Fanuc’s Field Control series, designed to convert analog current signals (configurable for 0-20mA or 4-20mA ranges) into digital signals recognizable by PLC systems. It features 8 single-ended input channels, supporting connection to field devices such as signal transmitters, panel meters, data loggers, signal splitters, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) to provide analog input for industrial process control, data acquisition, and robot control applications, while expanding PLC input points. Key technical specifications include 12-bit digital resolution, 5.0 microamps analog resolution, and a typical conversion time of 60 microseconds per channel at a 1MHz module clock. The module accepts a minimum input current of 0.1mA and maximum of 20mA, with built-in protection functions including open circuit detection and over-range fault detection. It has a non-linearity of +/-25% of full scale, a typical temperature coefficient of +/-0.002% per degree Celsius, and a maximum temperature coefficient of +/-0.005% per degree Celsius. Each channel offers ground and logic isolation rated at 1500VAC for 1 minute and 250VAC continuous, with a 24VDC power supply requirement and terminal block installation design. Its high precision, high reliability, and modular design make it suitable for use in manufacturing, petrochemical, water treatment, and energy industries.
