Description

The IC694BEM331 Genius Bus Controller Module is a member of the PACSystems RX3i series, designed to establish communication between RX3i PACSystems controllers and other Genius bus-compatible devices in industrial automation setups. Its core functions include managing and coordinating data transmission on the Genius I/O bus, acting as a bridge between the main controller and connected I/O modules, sensors, actuators, and other field devices to support distributed control and data collection.

Key technical specifications include support for daisy-chained bus cabling, with options for shielded single-twisted pair, twisted pair, fiber optic cables, or modems. Bus termination requires 75, 100, 120, or 150 ohm resistors at both ends. It requires CPU firmware version 2.9 or higher, supports configuration via Proficy Machine Edition software, and up to 8 modules can be installed in a single RX3i system.
