Description

The IC695RMX128 is a redundancy memory exchange module belonging to the PACSystems RX3i series, designed exclusively for redundant industrial automation systems and not for general memory exchange use. It delivers core functions including controller redundancy configuration, providing program and data redundant backup to prevent data loss from faults, and enabling fast switchover from primary to backup controller upon primary failure to ensure uninterrupted system operation. As a dedicated memory module for redundant RX3i CPU pairs or a single node in a reflective memory topology, it enables real-time data synchronization and sharing between controllers, with any node modification automatically reflected across all network nodes to maintain global data consistency.

Key technical specifications include 128MB SDRAM user memory, a dedicated redundancy interface supporting fiber optic communication with LC-type connectors, a fiber network transfer rate of up to 2.12 Gbaud, and support for up to 256 node connections with a maximum multi-mode fiber link distance of 300 meters. It operates on 580mA @ 3.3V DC and 220mA @ 5V DC power, with an industrial-grade design suitable for operating temperatures of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, storage temperatures of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, and humidity of 5% to 95% non-condensing. It is compatible with all 5565 series reflective devices, offers data error detection and network error reporting, supports hot-swap for non-stop module replacement, and requires a 2-node ring configuration (primary RMX + secondary RMX) for full communication path functionality.
