IC697ALG320 | GE Fanuc | Analog Output Module
Description
The IC697ALG320 is a 4-channel analog output module designed for the GE Series 90-70 programmable logic controller (PLC). Its core function is to receive digital data from the control processing unit, perform digital-to-analog conversion, and output stable analog signals, with protection against overvoltage and transient conditions. Key technical specifications include 16-bit resolution, 14-bit monotonicity, and a fast 2 millisecond update rate to enable timely response to control demands. The module operates on a recommended 24V DC supply, with a maximum power draw of 1.66 amps (8.3 watts) at +5V. Each of its 4 output channels can be individually configured for voltage or current operation, supporting both bipolar and unipolar outputs with separate user scaling for flexible adaptation to specific application needs. Additional critical features include factory calibration stored in non-volatile EEPROM for sustained output accuracy, isolated output circuits to enhance system stability, and comprehensive diagnostic functions that detect out-of-range, under-range, open-circuit, configuration errors, and module health status. Users can connect multiple modules, with a maximum of 7 units allowed in CPU racks and 8 in expansion racks, and use dedicated configuration software for output range selection, user scaling, and fault reporting.
