IC697CPX772 | GE Fanuc Series 90-70 CPU
Description
The IC697CPX772 is a central processing unit (CPU) module for the GE Fanuc Series 90-70 PLC, designed as a single-slot chassis unit to execute user automation programs. Equipped with an 80486DX4 microprocessor running at 96MHz, it delivers fast processing performance, with a boolean function execution speed of 0.4 microseconds to support efficient program operation. Its on-board memory includes 6MB battery-backed RAM for persistent data storage and 256KB non-volatile user flash memory that stores CPU firmware and user program data.
This CPU module offers robust I/O handling capabilities, supporting up to 12K combined digital inputs and outputs, plus up to 8K analog inputs and outputs, with native support for 32-bit floating-point data to accommodate complex numerical tasks. It uses software-based configuration exclusively, with no hardware jumpers or DIP switches for parameter settings, and can be programmed via MS-DOS or Windows-based software (running on Windows 95 or Windows NT) over Ethernet TCP/IP or SNP ports. Built on an open VME bus architecture, it integrates with thousands of third-party and GE Fanuc boards to build customized automation solutions, and supports scalable redundancy systems for critical applications requiring high reliability.
