IC698RMX016 | GE Fanuc Redundant Memory Xchange
Description
The IC698RMX016 Redundant Memory Xchange is a dedicated module for the Rx7I Pacsystem, designed to support redundant memory operations in industrial control systems. It features 16MB of SDRAM user memory to store critical system data for redundant operations. The module has physical dimensions of 6.299 inches wide by 9.187 inches high, fitting standard VME module form factors for seamless integration. Its electrical specifications include a +5V DC operating voltage with a 1.8A current draw, ensuring compatibility with the Rx7I Pacsystem’s power architecture.
Equipped with fiber optic LC-type connectors compliant with IEC 61754-20 and zirconium ceramic ferrules, the module offers reliable high-speed data transfer, with a maximum insertion loss of 0.35dB and return loss of -30dB. It operates reliably in a temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius, suitable for harsh industrial environments. For proper installation, it requires a PACSystems RX7i CPU with firmware version 2.00 or later, a powered Rx7i CPU rack, and a PC-compatible computer with CIMPLICITY Machine Edition–Logic Developer PLC version 4.5 or later programming software. The module must be installed in RX7I rack 0 (main), with slots 3 and 4 recommended for optimal VME interrupt request priority; systems with multiple modules require a conductive metal enclosure to meet radiation emission standards. It is ideal for applications including hot standby CPU redundant systems, reflection networks, and industrial automation control systems such as DCS, PLC, and SIS.
