Invensys TRICONEX 3700A Analog Input Module
Description
The Invensys TRICONEX 3700A Analog Input Module is a specialized component of the EcoStruxure Triconex safety system, designed for high-integrity process safety applications. This analog input module features 32 differential, DC-coupled input channels, with a voltage range of 0 to 5 VDC, and includes a +6% overrange function to accommodate extended input values. As part of the Triconex safety system, which has recorded over 1 billion hours of fault-free operation and is certified by TÜV Rheinland for Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3) applications, it delivers exceptional availability and integrity to meet the strict demands of high-hazard industries. The module integrates with the Triconex system’s triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture, where critical circuits are triple-moded to enhance reliability; its analog input circuits independently measure signals, transmit data to corresponding main processors, and use median value selection for accurate, fault-tolerant data processing. It supports automated calibration via reference voltage checks to maintain measurement accuracy. Ideal for use in industrial refining, petrochemicals, oil and gas, chemical manufacturing, power generation, and pharmaceutical sectors, it enables safe, reliable, uninterrupted operation in critical control applications such as emergency shutdown (ESD), fire and gas (F&G) monitoring, burner management systems (BMS), high-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS), boiler protection, and turbine control and protection (TMC).
