Invensys TRICONEX 8111 Expansion Chassis
Description
The Invensys TRICONEX 8111 Expansion Chassis is a high-density extension unit designed for Triconex control systems, built with a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture to deliver exceptional reliability and fault tolerance, ensuring uninterrupted operation even if individual components fail. Featuring a high-density design, it supports up to 128 I/O channels, making it ideal for large-scale industrial control applications that demand extensive input/output capacity. Its modular design enables easy system expansion and maintenance, with flexible addition or removal of modules, while hot-swap functionality allows module replacement without shutting down the entire system, boosting maintenance efficiency. Equipped with redundant power supplies, the chassis maintains normal operation if one power unit malfunctions, enhancing system stability. Fully compatible with all Triconex controllers including the 4000, 5000, and 7000 series, it integrates seamlessly into existing control systems without complex modifications. The chassis includes multiple slots for I/O, communication, and other expansion modules, supports protocols like Modbus TCP and Ethernet, and uses a high-performance processor, large-capacity memory, and VxWorks-based embedded operating system for fast data processing and real-time control. It is widely applied in critical industrial scenarios such as Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas Protection (F&G), Burner Management Systems (BMS), High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS), and Turbomachinery Control (TMC).
