Description

The IS220PPROHJA (PPRO) is a Backup Turbine Protection I/O pack by GE, providing independent overspeed protection, generator synchronization backup, and primary control monitoring. It is typically configured in a triple modular redundant (TMR) arrangement using three PPRO modules mounted either on separate SPRO terminal boards or a single TPROH#C or TREA board. The system connects via DC-37 pin cables to emergency trip boards (TREG, TREL, or TRES) and communicates with control modules via Ethernet over IONet.
