Low Voltage Digital Input Module ABB DI01

Description

The ABB DI01 module is part of the Symphony Plus SD Series I/O, a flexible and modular platform for industrial automation. It processes up to 16 digital input signals, each channel being individually isolated and configurable for either 24 VDC or 48 VDC operation. This allows precise monitoring of field devices such as switches, sensors, and contact relays. The module supports Sequence of Events (SOE) time-stamping with 1 millisecond resolution, making it ideal for applications requiring accurate event tracking. Engineers can configure each input channel using Function Code 224 (Digital Input CH) to set parameters like alarm states, debounce periods, and SOE settings. System-wide parameters are managed via Function Code 221 (I/O Device Definition). Its compact form factor and robust isolation make it suitable for power generation, chemical processing, and manufacturing automation, where signal integrity and fault tolerance are critical.
