Description

The PROSOFT 5201-DFNT-MCM EtherNet/IP to Modbus Master/Slave Gateway is a high-reliability protocol conversion device from the ProSoft 5201 series, designed for industrial automation systems to enable communication between EtherNet/IP networks and Modbus serial devices. It supports flexible dual power input options of 24V DC or 120/240V AC, and features a 10/100 Mbps adaptive Ethernet port with IP address detection functionality, complying with ODVA standard EtherNet/IP communication protocols. This gateway enables high-speed bidirectional data transfer between EtherNet/IP PACs (including Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and various Schneider Electric controllers) and Modbus serial devices such as SCADA systems and power monitors. Its Modbus interface can be set to master or slave mode via dip switches: as a Modbus master, it supports function codes 01H, 02H, 03H, 04H, 05H, 06H, 0FH, 10H, and can connect up to 8 Modbus slave devices through 8 configurable channels; as a Modbus slave, it supports function codes 02H, 04H, 0FH, 10H with adjustable port settings. Built for harsh industrial environments, it operates in temperatures ranging from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, has a humidity tolerance of up to 95%, features an IP40 protection rating, and mounts on a standard 35mm DIN rail.
