Schneider 140DRC83000 Relay Discrete Output Module
Description
Schneider 140DRC83000 Relay Discrete Output Module is a programmable logic controller (PLC) discrete output module designed for industrial automation systems. It features a modular design that supports flexible expansion with Quantum backplane, and is compatible with multiple communication protocols including Ethernet, serial communication (RS-232/RS-485), and Profibus DP via a 9-pin Sub-D jack. The module provides 32 relay contact outputs divided into 4 groups of 8 points each, with contact capacity of 5A @ 250V AC / 5A @ 30V DC, and 1500V AC isolation between groups. It operates on 24V DC backplane power with maximum power consumption of 5W, and has a mechanical relay response time of ≤10ms.
Equipped with built-in protection functions including overvoltage, overcurrent, short-circuit protection, 4000V lightning protection, and 600W surge protection, it also supports hot swap and redundant power architecture for enhanced reliability. Status indicators include independent LEDs for each output channel, plus RUN/ERR module status LEDs for easy debugging and fault diagnosis. The module has strong environmental adaptability, with an operating temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, storage temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, and resistance to vibration and electromagnetic interference in line with IEC 60068-2-6 standards. It is suitable for use in manufacturing, energy, water treatment, transportation and other industrial sectors to control actuators like contactors, solenoid valves, and indicator lights.
