TRICONEX 3000520-380 Terminal Panel Module
Description
The TRICONEX 3000520-380 Terminal Panel Module is a component of the Tricon triple modular redundant (TMR) fault-tolerant control system, designed for high-reliability industrial applications. As part of the Tricon platform, it integrates with a fully triple-redundant architecture that spans from input modules to main processors (MP) to output modules. Each I/O signal is supported by three independent legs, which autonomously read input signals and transmit status data to corresponding MPs. The three main processors communicate via the TriBus, synchronizing every scan cycle to share digital input (DI) voting results and analog input (AI) calculation data, then independently execute program operations and send outputs to field-side modules, where final output voting occurs close to connected equipment.
This module supports SIL 1, 2, and 3 safety level tasks, meeting relevant industry safety certifications, and is engineered for use in harsh operating environments. Key features include hot-swappable capability, powerful self-diagnostic functions, and a fault-tolerant design with no single points of failure. The system can detect and compensate for faulty components, allowing repair and replacement without interrupting ongoing process control, simplifying on-site operation and maintenance. As a terminal panel module, it facilitates secure, organized connection of field I/O signals to the Tricon control system, complementing other Triconex components such as digital input/output modules, analog input/output modules, and main processor modules.
