Description

TRICONEX 3000520-390 Communication Module is a member of the Triconex safety platform product line, built on industry-proven TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) architecture for high integrity and availability. Designed for harsh industrial environments, it supports hot-swap field installation and online module repair without disrupting field wiring or control processes, ensuring uninterrupted operation. As a communication module, it enables seamless connectivity between the Triconex system and multiple external systems, including Modbus masters and slaves, Foxboro and Honeywell distributed control systems (DCS), peer-to-peer Tricon networks, and TCP/IP-based external hosts. The module integrates with the Triconex platform to support up to 118 I/O modules and optional communication modules, plus remote I/O modules located up to 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from the main rack. It works with Windows NT-based programming software for control program development and debugging, and leverages intelligent I/O module features—each I/O module has three microprocessors to filter and repair inputs, diagnose hardware faults, validate output status via feedback loops, and reduce main processor load. Certified for Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 1, 2, and 3 applications, it is ideal for critical safety and control scenarios in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pharmaceutical, and nuclear industries, including emergency shutdown (ESD), fire and gas (F&G) monitoring, and burner management systems (BMS).
