Description

The TRICONEX DI3301 Digital Input Module is a specialized component designed for Triconex triple modular redundancy (TMR) safety instrumented systems, primarily used to collect field digital switch signals. Key features include high reliability via redundant design and built-in self-diagnostic functions, ensuring continuous system availability; modular design for simplified installation and maintenance; multi-type input support to meet diverse application requirements; and flexible configuration for customized deployment.

Technical specifications include 16 or 32 common ground digital input channels (32 channels is the standard variant), with a nominal input voltage of 24 VDC, and optional variants supporting 115 VAC/VDC. The 24 VDC version has an operating voltage range of 15–30 VDC, an absolute maximum input voltage of 33 VDC, input delay of less than 10 ms (on-to-off or off-to-on), input impedance of over 30 kΩ (without backplane) or 3 kΩ (with backplane), and diagnostic functions including forced value diagnosis (FVD) and channel fault diagnosis. It holds IEC 61508 SIL 3 safety certification, supports TMR architecture, and mounts in Triconex racks.
