Description

TheTriconex DI3311 moduleis engineered toacquire digital signalsfrom field devices such as switches, sensors, and relays with exceptional reliability. It features32 isolated input channels, each monitored independently to ensure accurate signal capture and fault detection. Moreover, the DI3311 operates within aTriple Modular Redundancy (TMR) architecture, where three independent input circuits process the same signal. This design enables the system todetect and isolate faults without interrupting operation. For instance, in an emergency shutdown system, the DI3311 ensures that a single channel failure does not compromise the integrity of the shutdown logic. In addition, the module includesbuilt-in diagnosticsto detectstuck-on, stuck-off, and shorted inputs. It ishot-swappable, allowing maintenance without system downtime, and is fully compatible with TriconexTriStation 1131 programming software.
