Description

The TU838 is an extension MTU for the ABB S800 I/O system, featuring 16 I/O channels and delivering 3A of process power for every two channels, with dedicated 3A fuses per dual-channel group. As part of the full distributed modular process I/O system, the S800 I/O communicates with master controllers via standard fieldbus, offering broad connectivity compatible with a wide range of process controllers from multiple suppliers. Key system features include a complete product portfolio, flexible configuration and installation, easy assembly, high reliability and accuracy, HART protocol compliance, I/O module redundancy, SIL3-certified high-integrity I/O modules, time stamping, communication error output settings, and intrinsic safety interface support. Designed for field installation near sensors and actuators, the system reduces wiring costs significantly. It supports hot-swappable modules, online reconfiguration, and redundancy options to boost operational efficiency.
