Description

The TU844 is a specific module for the S800 I/O, a distributed modular process I/O system. This module features 8 I/O channels with unipolar single-ended signal type, designed to meet industrial process equipment interface needs. Key technical specifications include a 12-bit resolution, with input impedance of 290k ohms for voltage inputs and 230-275k ohms for current inputs. It incorporates group-to-ground isolation, supports -5% / +15% under/over range, and has a maximum error of 0.1%. Temperature drift performance is optimized, with typical 70 ppm/C and maximum 100 ppm/C for voltage inputs, and typical 50 ppm/C and maximum 80 ppm/C for current inputs; its input filter has a 0-90% rise time of 140 ms.

As part of the S800 I/O system, the TU844 benefits from flexible scalability: a single I/O slave can support up to 12 I/O modules, with capacity doubled to 24 modules via fiber optic ModuleBus extension, enabling integration of up to 96 analog I/O channels per slave. The system supports flexible mounting options, including single rail, split rail, wall, and floor stand mounting, and allows distributed installation over hundreds of meters via fiber optics to reduce noise and installation costs.
