Description

The X20CS1020 is a high-performance PLC module designed for demanding industrial automation applications. A key highlight is its wide operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius, enabling reliable operation in harsh, extreme industrial environments such as outdoor manufacturing facilities, cold storage processing lines, and high-heat production plants. It features a unique B&R ID code 0x1FCF for clear, simplified identification and centralized asset management within industrial control systems.

As part of the B&R X20 system, a comprehensive control and remote I/O solution, this module leverages the system’s core modular design, which consists of terminal blocks, electrical modules, and base modules. This design supports pre-wiring outside the system, allows hot-swapping of electrical modules, and offers flexible free bus slots to boost configuration adaptability. The X20 system also delivers high component density, with 12mm-wide modules providing up to 12 channels—50% more than traditional plug-in systems—and supports 1-wire, 2-wire, or 3-wire installation without additional jumpers.

The module integrates seamlessly with the X20 system’s communication capabilities, including RS232 serial interfaces and CAN bus interfaces with integrated terminal impedance for robust industrial network setup. With an IP20 protection rating, and compatibility with the system’s operating environment of -25 to 70 degrees Celsius and 5% to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, it ensures stable, continuous performance for diverse machine and system automation tasks.
