Description

The YOKOGAWA ALP121-S00 PROFIBUS-DP Communication Module is an industrial communication device designed to function as both a master and slave unit for data exchange and communication. It is compatible with installation on field control units, ESB bus node units, and optical ESB bus node units connected to AFV30 or AFV40, supporting diverse industrial control system setups. Boasting excellent transmission performance, it offers a communication rate range of 9.6kbit/s to 12Mbit/s, with automatic baud rate adaptation that allows users to select appropriate speeds based on site distance and device count: 12Mbit/s for short-range shop floor connections, and 9.6kbit/s for long-range cross-plant networks, with a maximum transmission distance of 1000 meters via shielded cable at 9.6kbit/s. Equipped with 1 PROFIBUS DP standard interface (RS485 physical layer) featuring a Sub-D 9-pin male connector, it supports shielded twisted-pair differential transmission for strong anti-interference capability, plus short-circuit and overvoltage protection, and can withstand ±15kV electrostatic discharge. Physically, the module measures 40mm (width) × 125mm (height) × 120mm (depth), weighs approximately 0.35kg, uses a flame-retardant ABS shell meeting UL 94 V-0 standards, and features a compact design for direct mounting on standard 35mm DIN rails, suitable for dense control cabinet layouts.
