Description
The YOKOGAWA CP345 Processor Module is a high-reliability component designed for Field Control Node (FCN) autonomous controllers, engineered to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical industrial processes. It features robust redundancy capabilities across multiple core components: CPU units, power units, FOUNDATION Fieldbus modules, and control networks can all be configured for redundancy. In the event of a primary CPU failure, the standby CPU automatically detects the issue and takes over control seamlessly, with real-time synchronization of process data between primary and standby units to eliminate operational gaps.
This module supports hot-swappable functionality for all components including the CPU, with fault-tolerant design elements such as ECC memory to enhance system stability. When a damaged module is replaced, the industrial process continues without interruption, minimizing downtime. Redundancy implementation is simplified, as no specialized engineering or unique CPU modules are required for redundant setups, and primary and standby CPUs use identical hardware to reduce spare part complexity.
