Description

The YOKOGAWA EB401-10 ER Bus Interface Master Module is an extended PLC master module engineered specifically for industrial automation environments. As a core communication component, it enables high-efficiency data transmission and management via its ER bus interface, which operates at a communication speed of 10 Mbps and uses a BNC connector. Its primary function is to establish reliable connections between local and remote nodes: it links ESB bus node units (local nodes) or compact field control units (for FIO) with ER bus node units (remote nodes). The module is compatible with and can be installed in ESB bus node units including ANB10S, ANB10D, as well as compact field control units for FIO including AFF50S, AFF50D, AFV10S, AFV10D. Part of a modular product line, the EB401 series includes variants with different suffix codes for specialized use cases, such as -5 for non-explosion-proof standard models and -E for explosion-proof standard models. The EB401-10 supports seamless integration with Yokogawa DCS systems, featuring consistent engineering, operation, and monitoring environments for fieldbus applications with no additional requirements, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial control systems.
